CarMD Connect: How to Update Your CarMD Connect

Important Notes Before Starting:

• Park your vehicle in a safe, secure location with a strong Wi-Fi or cellular signal.
• The update process can take several minutes. Do not unplug the device or turn off your phone during the update.

Step-by-Step Update Instructions

1. Access Settings in the App

• Open the CarMD Connect app on your smartphone.
• Log in to your account if prompted.
• Tap the Menu icon (usually three lines) in the top-left corner.

2. Check for Firmware Updates

• In the Settings menu, scroll to and tap Firmware Update.
• The app will automatically check for available updates. This may take a moment.
• If an update is available, you'll see a prompt like "Update Available".

3. Prepare for the Update

• Ensure your vehicle is parked and the engine is off.
• The app will display a message: "Make sure your car is parked before proceeding."
• Complete each step as directed and check the provided checkbox to confirm completion.
• Confirm by tapping Continue.

4. Download and Install the Update

• The app will show progress: "Updating..." (do not interrupt).

5. Complete the Update

• Once finished, the screen will show a checkmark: "Firmware updated”.
• Tap Done to exit.
• Test the device by starting your vehicle and checking for real-time data in the app.
